HHR SS vs Cobalt SS

I'm just wondering why the new 2.0 Turbo Cobalt SS is so much quicker than the HHR SS? 1/4 mile for the HHR is about 14.7 at 98mph, and the Cobalt is 14.0 at 103mph. Since they have the exact same drivetrain, I'm guessing it just comes down to the extra 300 lbs of fat that the HHR carries.

I've always wanted a car with a 100+ mph trap speed, and my HHR SS is so close. 100mph seems to be where you enter the "really fast" car club to me. Yeah, it's all just numbers, and my SS feels plenty quick, but I'd love to hang in there with a Mustang GT in my little red wagon

I suppose we are a bit brick-like compared to the Cobalt. Oh well, nothing that a new ECU tune and more power can't fix

With the BSR software only and the car just a week old I pulled a 14 flat at like 102....with good tires and now that i am use to the car should get closer to the 13.5 mark.

I am really surprised that you were only 102. We were manually clocking mid 13's and 104 to 107 indicated with real easy first gear starts. The ET is arguably in error due to stopwatch timing, but the 1/4 mile is accurate and we ran it both directions, so the mph should be pretty accurate. Backing that up is I was running 96 mph indicated with stock tune at the same location. Really looking forward to verified track slips with the tune, wish there was a track I could go to that wasn't 2-3 hour drive.
