HID question

Just installed Depo headlight, and 6000k HID Hi-Lo beam lights.
Everything seems to be working fine, except that I don't have daytime running lights now.
Also Left side HID lamp seems to flicker once in awhile. Noticeable when close to walls or garage door. "Moon"

With hids you should disable the DRLs by pulling the fuse.
Otherwise it tries to run them at half power, which could actually damage them. This should be in the instructions.

I was a little PO'ed, as there was no instructions on them. I used the diagram on the ballast's to figure out how to hook them up.
So I should pull the Fuse to the DRL's, Right?
Anything else I should know, about these HID's[other than they are probably the cheap seats]? Thanks "Moon"

I havent pulled my own fuse, but from what I hear on this forum it works fine to deactivate the feature. You might want to search for that thread.
Yeah youre SS has the headlights running the high beams at half power for the daytime running lights. 2006 HHRs with the amber DRLs wouldnt have an issue.
Half power may not be enough to ignite the HID bulb. It may not work, or may flicker, or it could wear out the ballast trying to get an arc.
If you pull the DRL fuse and they still dont work properly, make sure you contact the seller. With cheaper HID kits, many people have problems. One reason I dont have them.

I would like to turn my yellow lights into DRLs but I haven't tried yet. That's what I plan on doing when I install my HIDs. Probably a jumper wire in the fuse box

sanmn420: I went with the 6000k HID's that come as a kit with the Depo headlights. Got them off of E-bay [street scene]. "Moon"
