How to approach dealer with clutch issue

I posted about the clutch slipping at interstate speeds in 4th and 5th on another post so I won't go into the details. No slipping 1st-3rd no matter how hard you push it.

Before I begin the fight, I wanted some opinions on how you guys think I should approach this. My SS has 28k on it and has been Staged for most of those miles. I travel for work alot and I'd say 75% or more of those miles have been on the interstate with the cruise control on. I drive VERY gingerly and non-aggressive and other than a couple times the tires have never even spun on this thing (on dry pavement anyways, hard not to when wet out).

Anyways, I know they are going to throw the standard clutches are not covered story at me, but there is no reason for the clutch to be slipping with my driving behavior (especially reading about some of the abuse you guys put on these things...LOL). Heck, my cumulative MPG is over 27 if that gives you an indication of how it's driven. Any ideas?

I don't know how you would get them to cover it, you would have to prove it is a craftsmanship problem. the only way to do that is to inspect the old clutch plate.

but there are alot of clutch complaints by doing a google search on the cobalts.

I've also noticed considerably more clutch noise in the past few months, mainly just chatter that I didn't really associate with being a real problem. I wonder if something has gone wrong with the disc or PP that I could prove to be a workmanship issue???

Not sure which dealership you use, but try Days Chevy up in Acworth. They are on Cobb Parkway (41).
