Question How to change blow-off valve

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this site and to the Chevy HHR. I just bought a 08 HHR SS about 3 months ago and want to change the blow-off valve on my car. If anybody can help me out,i would be very happy!!!!

you will have to change the stock upper charge piping to an aftermarket unit with a bov flange. different bov's mate to different flanges so keep that in mind. you will also need to get the car tuned for the bov. some experience difficulties tuning for a bov and relocate the maf sensor to the lower charge pipe....which requires an aftermarket lower charge pipe with a maf pad.....for easier tuning. as far as the vacuum...just plug the same one as stock into the bov...im sure you will have to reroute the line with a new one as it won't reach.

you could also install an intake if you just want to hear the factory valve....but there aren't a lot of intake choices out there...i made mine from a cobalt injen cold air intake....and you will be able to hear the stock bypass valve, hear the turbo, and the exhaust is louder. you will also have to tune for an intake so either way be prepared to shell out for a tune.
