Question How does a car leave the factory without listed options?

My new HHR SS came from the factory, as listed on the window sticker and confirmed by the RPO codes, missing two of its options . . .

Spotter mirror 9B7 & Dual Silver Stripes 49B . . .

Now the stripes I actually do not care about, and someone could have removed them . .

But the mirrors? That makes no sence . . .

The dealer I bought it from called the dealer they got it from and they say they were not on the car when they got it . . .

Is that possible???? Just asking.

Now my dealer is supposedly checking though their Chevy rep . . but it just seems odd . . .

With or without the options , Little Red HHR SS is AWESOME, and I am loving cruising aound with it . . .

Not sure, but some options are listed as factory but are actually installed by the dealer. I think the running boards come this way -- listed on the sticker, shipped inside the car and installed at the dealership.

yeah the stripes are a dealer installed option. Along with spoilers, running boards, anything that would make it harder to ship or possibly get marred in the shipping process.

The mirror things i thought were just stick on things as well which seems like a dealer installed thing.

Looks like someone got lazy at the dealership and left a bunch of things off they were supposed to be finished on delivery.

I think it would be hard to load it on a truck don't you?

Oh they are super minor issues . . . and yes I gladly assume some of them are dealer applied . . . but when the dealer says they were never there it makes you question . . . . but of course a dealer would NEVER lie! . . .

Still loven, my little red truckster . . . .

When a vehicle arrives at the dealer, it's the dealer's responsibility to make sure all options are on or with the car before they accept it. There are very few options now that are dealer installed, thank God the program we had not long ago is gone where the options were shipped separately and installed during PDI. The dealer will either make a claim for the missing options or else not accept the vehicle.
