My HHR SS has about 27K on it and the rotors are looking a bit worn. Also, when I park on an incline the rotors squeal a bit with the the parking break. How many miles did you get out of your OEM breaks. 27K seems a bit too short, but I do alot of driving in town. What is your expericence?

 

1st SS 18,000 miles , 2nd SS 30,000 miles

 

SS got 25,000 on the first ones.

 

I'm at 39,000 and have quite a bit of pad to go...

 

SSs don't break any more often than other LTs or LSs. My 2011 LT has not broken yet at 85,000 miles.

 

Thanks! I figures I was due because my rotors are have a lot of grooves. By the way, any suggestions on low-dust pads?

 

25K... When you get an SS, you drive em hard. I have upgraded to Brembo's since.

 

We never had the brakes break on our LS.....

 

The BRAKES(Brembos) on my SS are about 50% at 32k miles.

(Where are the breaks located at. I'm willing to learn.)
