Best of luck to you too. I don't have an RPD on my order so don't anticipate the hangup associated with that item.

I ordered my SS the first week of January. I'm not too concerned about the build / delivery date as my current vehicle is running fine.

I look at my HHR SS purchase as something that will finally allow the 55-year old hot rodder that's inside a chance to get out. Good-bye, Honda Element. Hello, speeding tickets...

The participants on these message boards played a major role in my decision to buy an HHR SS. Your cordiality, friendliness, and willingness to answer questions in simple terms makes this one of the very best auto discussion groups on the net.

As soon as I get my SS, I will post photos. It'll be a black 5-spd with the AA5 (blank quarters) option.

Hopefully, I will be of some usefulness around here, as I drive about 50,000 miles a year. I'll be able to do a long-term road test in no time!

I'm in the same boat, my current daily driver is running just fine but I've been driving the same model since 1988 and I think I'm ready for something different! This board was instrumental in my decision to test drive and then order my car too and I'm looking forward to continuing to share the HHR experience once my ride arrives.

VictorySpeedway: Did the dealer give you an idea of the delivery time? Just curious.

No, but I didn't ask, either.

Maybe I'll give him a call at the end of February.

Hey RDawg! Welcome from the OC and (hopefully soon) to the HHR familia!
We in SoCal are pretty active group and try to meet once a month or so (shows, just for burgers, no reason in particular, mod-party's, etc). I know the NoCal folk have cruises and g2g's as well--so check into the South Pacific forum for an idea of upcoming g2g's.

Where in NoCal do you live? Lived in Berkeley/Oakland for 12 years--miss it (weather mainly), but am an OC gal.

And yes, we like pix!

Boy it's fun or at least it has been until I fell at work and ripped my achilles tendon, now I'm in a walking boot cast and I HATE it. The weather here sucks but I know spring is coming. I am still driving but taking it easy for now.

Thanks for the welcome @angelita. I do get to a show in the OC yearly with the Mustang side of my life but bringing the HHR down to the southland for some particpation is definitely in the realm of possibility. I'm eyeing the Solvang G2G in May...love that country down there!

I'm in the Monterey Bay area but lived in the (South) SF Bay Area for many years. Still hang around all over up there as there is LOTS to do, mostly nightlife, compared to where I live.

I'll post plenty of pics once my ride arrives!
