Hello All,
I'm new to this forum and I just ordered my HHR SS yesterday. Blue Flash Metallic with the 2-tone light gray/black interior, Auto transmission (as I age I find myself more 'built for comfort, than built for speed') and every option on the order form. I first loved the red (with red/black int.) in the online pictures, but when I saw an '08 Victory Red one (LT2) at a local dealer, the red was just too dark. IMO the red should be a bright screaming red, like Audi has. Anyway, I've always liked the retro cars (I ordered the first PT Cruiser as soon as that was available in 2001 - owned 3 over the years and sold them). Now I'm just counting the days til the SS shows up....

 

Congratulations and I am Jealous. Did the dealer give you an indication of when he would be placing the order with GM? Did he have a firm price yet? Did you order rear window delete and which drivers’ seat did you go with? Did he confirm the rumor that the 5 speeds would be first build and the automatics latter?

Did you see Victory Red or Cardinal Red? Cardinal Red is actually more like like burgundy then fire engine red.

To the first guy; I don't have many answers. On some of the other questions; I have a GM supplier number from where I work, so I'm actually paying below invoice (whatever that winds up being). As for the red I saw, it was the Victory Red and just thought it was a bit dark. I have the 'order guide' from my Chevy dealer. It's at my desk at work, so I'll scan it on my computer tomorrow and post the pages as .jpg images so you all can see what you can actually order. Oh yeah and I ordered the AA5 option (rear side window delete option).

 

I thought the 'rear side window delete option' was not available on the SS...
