The dealer (and Chevy Cust. Serv.) told m the AA5 option was available on all models.... we'll see if I get a phone call soon with any bad news about the AA5 option for the SS.

Okay All, this is what I have so far; I spoke to my dealer yesterday (Mt. Kisco Chevy -NY) about an interior question on my order. I wanted the 2-tone ebony/lt gray interior with the Blue Flash exterior and he told me it wasn't an available combo. I then spoke to Chevy cust serv who said it was available.... so back to the dealer I went. Well to make a long story slightly shorter, it turns out that I order the 'upgrade' interior with the 'ultra suede' inserts which only comes in Ebony and that's what he ordered for me. He also said the car is being built as we speak and I'm scheduled to have it BEFORE Xmas. We'll see how true that is. Anyway, if it does show up in late December does that qualify me for 1st on the block with an SS?

Welcome to the site! And congrats! I am jealous. I spoke with my dealer a couple of weeks ago, but he is useless as you know what. I told him to place an order for a silver one, whether he did or not I don't know since he never returns my calls. The silver is actually called tarnished silver. You didn't happen to get a glimpse of that color did you? I don't know if it's darker or lighter. The 2008 book says it's silver metallic.

 

I don't think any HHR/SS are being built yet. I'm still waiting for my prices from ordering one on October22. Hotchkins Chevrolet told me they would let me know when they have prices and when they are being built.

 

Just so yall all know the build does not start until Dec 3rd. according to GM in the letter thats on the sites and I call the guy who's name was on the bottom Brian Brown w/GM he's the one who said Dec. 3rd build date then 9weeks out for delivery....So theres the answer I got from GM....The sad thing is that GM is not smart-enuff to put in LEATHER as an option....Go figure that one out..
