I'll never use K&N again, they let too much crap get thru!
Why do it if the ECU dumbs the engine back to stock HP levels?

It's not worth it imho.

I wonder if it improves gas mileage?

P.S. Get a tune.

I have K&N on my dual weber carbs on my dune buggy which is over 40 years old and it made a difference, but you won't catch me putting them on a modern computerized HHR SS though!

If not oiled correctly they can cause you issues with MAF sensors fouling them. Easily cleaned but still....

Just got the email too, (and beat me posting the link )
Ya, the more i think about it, based on what i hear regarding the bad things of K&N air filters (will still prob use their oil filters tho ) i thinking on passing on going the K&N route, and stick with Fram/Wix/ or whoever (anyone hear of Fram's "Airhog" line being made for the 2.0?).

Also, anyone hear of K&N's response to claims of their filters yuckin up MAF's or stuff like that?
