K&N Filter?
I have run nothing but K&N filters on every car I have owned for over 20 years. Never had an issue. Hopefully now that they use a spray on oil, verses the "dripper" bottle, people will quit over oiling them....
I just measured a spare stock-type one in my garage. The opening is just about 2 7/8", so something like 72mm? and the overall length is 7 1/4", or about 180-185mm.
I have a K&N that was on the car when I got it. It is shorter than stock one, so I have tighten it on with a hose clamp, or it can work loose. If you could find one about 10mm longer than mine, it would be better. I have no idea on the part numbers, though.
I have been using K&Ns for years, and never had problems, but I let them dry for a day after washing, and then another day after oiling (unless I can put them in the sun where I KNOW they are dry faster. I just keep a cheap stock-style filter around to run for a couple of days. That works for me...
