Question Launch control

Hey guys I was wondering when you use launch control is boost supposed to build? I saw a video on youtube where a guy was using launch control and his car did build boost. I didn't know if that was an upgrade he did or what.
Thanks,

I saw the same video he was a auto and was break boosting for the launch. Autos can put a load on the motor causing it to build boost unlike a 5speed were theres no load on the motor when the clutch is push in and holding revs.

My 2010 SS M5 launch works just like the manual says: Once you have launch control engaged by hitting the traction control button twice and come to a stop "launch control" appears in the DIC window. Then you step on the clutch, put it in 1st gear, put the gas pedal to the floor, revs hold at ~4100rpm and then you let up on the clutch quickly. Wears out the tires though as it leaves two black skid marks about 15 feet long, then using "no lift shift" shifting into 2nd gear at redline leaves more black marks, FUN ! Don't do it too much or you'll be finding out how much those Michelin Pilots cost............
