Looking to buy need answers?

I currently have a 2006 Impala(Wife car).Car is ok. I have a 91 Buick with a 3.3. I usualy bought a 2.8 or 3.1. I really like the HHR but I have question about performance response, ect. The next question is room I was amazed of the lack of room from the impala to the buick (they seem the same) Thanks for being here and thanks for answers. Ken N.( post wrong place tried to replace)

My mom used to have an '06 Impala, and I drove it more than she did. In my opinion, the HHR isn't as peppy as the Impala, and I don't think the passenger room is as much as the Impala, but there's much more cargo room in the HHR.

I have an '06 HHR with the 2.2, so if you got an SS it would be much peppier than what I've got. I'm just comparing from experience on what I've driven.

Personally, I like driving my HHR more than the Impala, as the HHR has the fun factor, and lots of utility. However, I felt that the Impala was a much more sturdy, if not well built car over the HHR.

Welcome, first off.

If you are getting ANY HHR, so long as it is well maintained, it has great response to the pedals, and will get you in the back of your seat if you have a lead foot. ;-)

My 2.4L 2007 2LT auto has plenty of get up and go...... when it's not spinning the tires. Seriously though, I was surprised when I first drove mine at how much pep it had. I was expecting much less. Now that I have a few mods to improve handling and a GMPP intake It's a fun little car to drive.

Welcome and Greetings! I think you'll like the HHR whichever model you choose, try them all if you can then pick the one that fits your driving style best. I have two out of three engine choices and no complaints here, plenty of punch, fantastic mileage, and fun to drive.

We're a friendly bunch here Ken, always ready to help and encourage, and sometimes to gently poke and needle....but in a good way. Keep us in the loop as you check out some HHR's and make your decision, but be warned, they can be addictive.

Yeah, there's lots of different ways to make the HHR your own. I went with chrome!!! Some look good blacked out, some woodies, whatever you want!!!
