My 08 SS is waiting for me at the dealer. Just need to finish the paperwork in the AM.

2008 Imperial Blue SS
Auto (needed remote start + had to make it Mrs. friendly)
Sunroof
Side Airbags
7 speaker system

MSRP: 26,005.00
GMS: 23,840.38
Rebate: 2,250

Out the door: $21,590.38 +ttl
Question: What is the GMS figure you quoted? I know that's not invoice on a $26k car. Looks like you got a total of $4414 off MSRP. That's an incredible deal if it held true. I just bought an 08 LT Shadow Edition for invoice that was only $1K off MSRP, plus the $2250 rebate.

last friday, GM gave employees the ability to give away one car at employee pricing. this I think ends today

I asked an employee for a discount code.

the sticker price was 26,005

the employee price was $23,840

then subtract the $2250 in dealer rebates.

for a total of $21,590

yes i did save $4400

P.S
you can see the employee price here for an in-stock HHR
just don't expect to get that price, you need a valid code that the dealer verifies
and is below invoice, so they get money back from gm

Great deal! Too late for me. I bought my HHR two weeks ago and wasn't offered what amounted to the extra $1K discount. I got a total of $3300 discount. The dealer had the only Shadow Edition with Gray Leather in a 3 state area, and knew it. Once he had me interested, I knew he wouldn't dealer trade it to someone else, where I might have squeezed a few hundred more of a discount. Oh well, I'm really happy with the car.
I just installed Turbo Tech's rear stabilizer bar yesterday. Boy does it keep the HHR flat in corners. I actually feel a little oversteer with the lack of body lean. It does make the steering extra sensitive. Congratulations again on a great deal..

The dealer I bought my SS at had a Shadow Edition HHR in the showroom. It was very cool looking, considering it isn't an SS.

just got word they are extending the GMS pricing through 8/19
you still need a PIN number.

I got mine through somebody here at the chevy avalanche fan club
It's worth a shot if your going to buy now, it seems like alot of GM employees are over there.

Please don't request one unless you really are gonna buy before 8/19

I hope its ok to post the link for the mods. but its how i got $4400 off my SS

oh and make sure you ask for a GMS number, not a supplier number
