Lowering Spring options (Where to buy)

Hey guys,

So right now I have an 09 SS with the B&G Cobalt springs on them. I absoutely love the ride height but man are these things bouncy. I don't really want to go back to factory but I want a better ride. I don't care about dealing with coil overs so what do you guys suggest?

Searching around on the forum mostly yields old links or suppliers that no longer carry the springs. So From what I gather and read up I'm trying to see what all is still out there. Maybe start up a new list for others to use with links as well

Pedders? Does anyone still sell them?
Canuck Motorsports - I see they list HHR but will these work with the SS?
Eibach - See these around on TTR, Ebay etc
Any others out there that ride good (non bouncy?) and where to order from?

I'm thinking about replacing the Rims soon too as I need new tires. 63K on the originals and they are wearing out. So I thought I may go for a slightly larger tire if I don't go as low.

For reference here is a pic of the B&Gs on my HHR now that they have settled a good several months

The Eibachs dont work for the SS so thats out of the question.
The Canuck springs are very good and wont bounce.
There are a lot of mixed reviews on Pedders - im not going to go there
YYZ springs from Powell are amazing, they may not be as low as what you currently have but they ride fantastic

How are your struts/shocks? Bounce usually means worn out or over-whelmed dampers. If you like your setup otherwise, that might be something to consider.

Also, if you are real low, make sure you aren't hitting the bump stops. I have done that before, and it makes for some weird cornering characteristics... I noticed THAT more in hard cornering and transitions than I did as "bounce", but there was some bounce to it, too, if the bump was sharp enough.

Skyline - I just got an email back from Canuck and they said there springs do not work for the SS

Blue - My shocks/struts are all brand new (Less than 5k miles on them) I replaced everything with OEM FE5 brand new from RockAuto along with KYB Rear Shocks

I am getting some dead coils in the rears on the B&G's. At this point i'm not too worried about being as low as I am since i think when I replace the tires I might go with a slightly meatier tire to help the ride.

Where can one purchase the YYZ springs at? I'll look and see if I can find some pics of folks on them to check out the stance

Edit. I saw another read and I emailed John and PowellRacing to see if they were still available.

I emailed John and he sent me some info on them. I think that's going to be the way to go for me. I replied back to him last night asking for pricing but haven't heard back yet.

If you don't mind Post some pictures once you get them installed, and let us know how the heights and ride compare.
