MANUAL or AUTO ..UPGRADE VOIDS
i need feedback manual or auto lets hear the pros and cons,
i read stories of auto cant handle the power and failing, clutch failures with 5sp,
as more horsepower is reach where is the weak link, trans, shafts, clutch or driver
what is good about the automatics compare to manuals with the turbo,
manual with posi looks like the best choice for autocrossing,
auto for drag racing and the wife to get around town and city driving.
no arm rest with the manual, maybe i can add a shorty arm rest for long trips
i believe drive train will be cover under 100,000 warranty, so does it really matter if they fail,
has anyone here been denied and been told the upgrades voided the warranty on their new car?

If you're asking about the GM stage kit, it is fully warrented. As for the MX vs AX, both end up with the same HP and torque. There's a couple other threads around here. Check the 2.0 performance board.

Which was one of the key must haves for me. I live in the hilly area of North Jersey and have always had 4 wheel drive. I don't expect my SS to ever be 4 wheel drive like but 2 wheels driving are still better than 1!

Here is why I think the LSD is important (out of GMs info on the Manual):
"A limited-slip differential is available for high-output applications. This torque-sensing differential is an all-mechanical geared unit that uses no clutch packs or preloading to transfer torque from one axle to the other, and torque transfer occurs automatically when one wheel loses traction. Torque transfer also occurs gradually, without steps."
This not just a clutch pack.
