Question Megan muffler or stock muffler?

So I have a baby girl on the way and I'm looking for something more quiet. I have a 08 SS and did a muffler swap. Unfortunately I didn't keep my stock muffler when I did the swap (dumb ass I know). I currently have a cheap 35 dollar Ebay muffler which actually sounds great but just too loud and the silencer it came with was too loose and rattles a lot. I was looking in the Megan GT muffler because it comes with a better quality silencer and it looks better. Or trying to find a stock SS muffler that someone is willing to part with. Any suggestions? I appreciate any help guys. Baby is due in April.

Just a heads up on the stock mufflers. There were 2 different ones used. A 5 speed style with 2 inner baffler rows and the auto trans style with something like 6 inner baffler rows.
Don't know what the difference in sound would be with the "wrong" style but thought you would like to know this info.

The auto is dual baffle and the 5sp is 1 baffle probably cause the 5 sp had so much more tune....265hp. The 5sp sounds louder and deeper, maybe a little pop and crackle. The auto is the same mufler that came on my 2LT very quiet..

I don't know if there are different types of Megan mufflers, but every one I've heard has been really loud. If you want quieter, maybe look at something else.

I'd just pick up one of those thrush turbo mufflers from Autozone if you are looking to put something quieter on. You'll still have a little sound but nothing obnoxious.
