Although the duct transition from round to oval is well designed, it has two clearance features that seem excessive (even accounting for engine movement in the case of the hood strut). I heated the plastic and wearing a thick leather glove forced the shape to mostly eliminate these clearance jogs. It is a much more uniform crossection going through now.
