My '09 SS

Thanks. I see that you have the black roof going too.
The whole black roof thing goes back to my '01 Vortex Blue New Beetle (totalled by a tow truck driver in '04). When the New Beetle concept was introduced back in '94, the prototype was yellow w/a black roof, and titled "Concept One"...some of us who were modding New Beetles started painting our roofs black (simply known the "Concept One Black Roof mod"). I really liked the look...I wound up doing the same thing on my PT Cruiser GT (metallic though, because my PT was Electric Blue Pearl, a metallic finish). I wasn't 100% sure how I was going to divee up the spoiler on the SS, and I was toying with keeping only the roof ridges red...after a lot of sketching I finally found a paint scheme for the spoiler part that I liked. Once the roof and rear valence were black, the stock red taillights instantly looked "wrong" to me, and once I saw the Bermuda Black ICPWs on another HHR I knew had to have 'em...my wife wasn't tickled by that at first, but now that they're installed she loves the look.

Definitely some time later (probably around Xmas) I'm completely 100% stealing HHRSSouth's center console paint scheme. It's just too damned perfect and beautiful not to!
Thanks for the kind words all.

Just for the hell of it...my '05 PT GT
Nothing against PTs, but I think Brian Nesbitt did such a better job with the HHR...I don't know why this is, but the more I see PTs the more they now look odd to me somehow...of course, when I was posting on PT boards back in '05-'07, most members there were slamming this new ugly PT-wannabe that Chevy was releasing...
Wow...my photo skills really sucked back then. But unlike my SS, I look at the GT and I realize I would have done so many things differently: I would've gotten rid of the factory chrome spears and hood emblem and installed different tails for starters, and not installed the wind deflectors. And I definitely would've gone without a front plate!

Here's one place:

As for install, it's very easy. The script has four pegs...if you want to install it using the pegs, simply affix a piece of tape to your dash, mark the bottom of the pegs with magic marker, and press the pegs against the tape. This will give you your mounting holes. Drill them out, remove the tape, then push the pegs into the holes...just make sure you use as small a bit as possible for a tight fit. 10 mins, tops.
If you don't want to drill out your dash, you can always snap off the pegs and use Crazy Glue or some other adhesive.
