That SS looks amazing!!!!

Ever thought about going black on the rims and the SS side badges? I think that would tie the whole package up!

I am not knocking your ride it looks great as it is, but I would do the above.

Wow...my photo skills really sucked back then. But unlike my SS, I look at the GT and I realize I would have done so many things differently: I would've gotten rid of the factory chrome spears and hood emblem and installed different tails for starters, and not installed the wind deflectors. And I definitely would've gone without a front plate!

The black roof on your SS , really sets it apart from the masses (mini masses)
Looks killer !
That PT looks nice, But for me the HHR kills it looks wise , IMO.

I never take a suggestion or an idea as a knock...it would be pretty boring around here if we all liked the same things and had the same ideas.

I did think about blacking out the SS badges, but I like the way they tie in with the chrome rims. And I love shiny, chrome rims. If I ever did change my mind down the road, and decided to extend the red & black theme to the rims and SS badges, I'd likely try to find rims that were black with a red lip...one of the reasons I've never been a huge fan of black rims is that they blend with the tires (to my eyes, anyway)...but I do think the right black rims with a bright red lip could look pretty sweet.

Agree on the PT...although I dumped some $$$ into it and liked it at the time, it never really "sang" to me, and I just never felt the same enthusiasm that I do for the HHR.

I was unsure about the black roof for a while...I thought about doing the more typical two-tone (top half of the vehicle, in either black or silver, with a black or silver pinstripe to separate the two), racing stripes...I finally just went for it, and at the last second decided to do the rear valence as well. Glad I did.

Found a black/chrome rim that I really like...in 20"s...I'll probably wait until spring to install them...also have to see if I can afford them...I may black out the badges at that point too...

I say go for it...imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. (I'm totally stealing another member's interior paint scheme.) If you do just make sure you figure out exactly how you want the spoiler painted...that's the tricky part.

i won't be doing the spoiler.

what i'll do is remove the roof racks and take it to a vinyl shop and then reinstall the roof racks. it would be cheaper than having it painted and won't be permenant, so if i don't like it, i can just remove it. if i love it, then i'll get it painted.

thanks for your "ok" on me doing it

Awesome...best of luck! Hope you like it...I love mine. Don't know if you noticed but I did the rear valence as well. Post pics when you get it done.
