Well it happened yesterday afernoon in the lenox/richmond area. It was rainin pretty hard. We were only doing like 35-40 because of it but I am pretty sure the guy in the truck was doing at least 55-60. He stopped us dead in our tracks. If u look at the pic of his truck u can see my car far back in the distance, thats how far he skid after he hit us and the truck behind me. We were actually really lucky. 1 because we were in the ss and not my old car, which was an 06 tdi beetle. We would have probably been really hurt if we were in that thing. and 2 im glad i had enough time to swerve at least a little bit, head on would not have ended so well either. I just keep asking myself why on earth did i swerve to the left, its a good thing i didnt hit anyone in that lane. Would it have ended differently if I would have swerved to the right.

Sorry to hear that but the dodge looks much worse than the HHR. proof that the HHR is a strong car. Im very glad everyone is ok and I hope you get a new one.

Sorry to hear about your SS. I just bought a SS two weeks ago and i don't know what i'd do if that was me. Glad you guys are okay though. If they total your car i'm sure you'll find another SS. I've seen a few 4-sale here in New Jersey.

Glad to hear you guys are okay, bummer about the HHR SS though....... Cars can be replaced, people can't.......

Between this post and the other post from yesterday with the HHR vs. 37 Ford street-rod, I'm going to be staying away from RED vehicles for awhile...... scary coincidence.

Also glad to hear you're OK. Both vehicles look like they took a lot of damage.

Thank you everyone. Im still waiting to hear from the insurance company. Idk I hope they total it, I just know if they dont it will never drive the same again and will be impossible to sell if it ever came to that. What do u guys think? Does it look totalled?
And yes the ss badges held on tight. Im thinkin if they total it I will steal that one.
We were really lucky, someone was watchin out for us that day.
