It's probably oil vapor from the PCV system. You could try making some oil catch cans. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/2-0l...version-59726/

If it is oil the oil would not be "fine". If there is oil smoke oil is disappearing into the atmosphere. Contaminating the cat on its way, could become expensive.
Could be a bad seal in the turbo, or from the PCV.
Personal experience with valve seals is you can only get a few miles before seizing up, not occasionally
