New SS ordered

I just ordered a Black SS yesterday! I deleted the upgraded stereo because I always replace it anyway, no roof rails, no sunroof, 5sp. manual, sport seat,LSD and side air bags just in case! My dealer thinks he can replace the gold bowties with chrome or at least silver colored ones from a friend who has done it to other Chevys. The Brembo brakes are coming soon, maybe the first will be on mine???????

My Black SS 5 speed should be in early next week. I like the blacked out look, I'm covering the bow ties with black decales see http://www.webxtremes.com/chevybowtiedecals.htm The have many different decales.

Good move on the sound system. I ordered the Pioneer 7 speaker and sub, and am pretty underwhelmed by it. Hopefully some advantage in having wiring in place. Just completed a $1200 order through Crutchfield to replace all the speakers, and add a decent sub and amp. Should be fun install, but my thought that I could live with the factory system for a while faded pretty fast.

Hey all you with SS's on order.... I ordered mine in the middle of december and just got it last week... IT'S WORTH THE WAIT!!! I upgraded from my 06 so i notice the difference more than a new HHR owner. the suspension is a thousand times better, obviously faster (has anyone tried messing with the "competitive mode" ??? NICE NICE NICE. Ive only had it 4 days or so but I'll post more after a few more miles behind teh wheel. Driving down to San Diego tomorrow (about 120 miles) tomorrow so ill get to see how she does...
Again, it feels like forever waiting but it's worth it! And by the way, i ordered the black overlays for both front and back bowtie as well as the dark smoke headlight protectors before I got it so i could get them right on (-:
(I go the silver/auto as im in LA and you dont want a stick here.)
vroom vroom vroom
