My car was recovered from being stolen unfortunately; it is no longer running.
*********ISUESSES ID*********** (Attempts in Resolving Issue) Observation

1. The key was broke of in the ignition. ( I removed the ignition lock cylinder making it easier to remove the broken key. After removing the broken key; the original ignition lock cylinder was reinstalled.) No security light. Intends on using original spear key.
2. Shifting Leakage cable has been replaced
3. Shifter Handle has been replaced
4. Battery was drained completely useless. (Bought Brand New Battery)
5. Check Engine Light ON ( scanned codes: PO496)

Checked all Fuses and Relays (+)
Has Gas
Has fuel and the starter has power.
HHR will not crank.
What does everyone this is the issue? Helpful comments welcomed and appreciated

 

Isn't this what insurance is for?
Has the ignition switch recall been done?
P0496 means the EVAP purge valve (under the hood) is broken.
What does "no crank" mean to you?

 

HHR ? Year ? Model ? Auto or 5 speed ?.......................(So we know what we are commenting about)

So. What key are you trying to use ? Is it a transponder key that is programmed to the car ? Should have the little "+" symbol on it.

Why were these replaced ? Damage from the theft ? Those 2 parts require specific technical replacement for them to work correctly.
