Question No Lift Shift

I was curious see everyone's understanding of the "no-lift shift" capability.

Does it only work in competative mode?
Does it limit RPM when shifting?
Exactly how is it to be performed.
Etc....

LAUNCH CONTROL :
HERE IS HOW IT WORKS.
STOP,
NAIL IT,
KEEP IT NAILED THREW NORMAL SHIFTS AT OR NEAR REDLINE,
NOT LETTING OFF GAS.
IN COMP MODE ONLY.
SOUNDS EASY , TAKES A COUPLE TRYS AT FIRST, WHEN YOU GET IT .
IT'S NICE !!!!!!!

MINE REDLINES NORMALLY IN COMP MODE , AND FLYS.

LAUNCH CONTROL ACTIVATED,............
GO WITH THROTLE UP.

From what I have found the owner's manual does not go into great detail. That is why I asked for everyone's understanding not what the owner's manual says.

SScasey, I am with you on this one... I too was confused by the owner manual's description of, or lack there of. Also didn't do a good job on the launch control.

Actually, yes. I have an open case with GM corporate to get that rectified since the selling dealership turned into jackasses about 3 seconds after the sales paperwork was signed.

Confused

I searched through my owners manual for Launch control and Competitive mode high and low, and found NOTHGIN about it. Is it actually in the owners manual? I was looking alot because the first three or four times I tried it, the car fell on its face. I actually couldnt tell you the last time I have done NLS, but then again, can't really do it around subs of detroit.
