I'm not sure why but I purchased this so called "OBD2 Performance Chip Tuning Box" that claims to "Increase the power and torque depending of your car's model and driving habits". But now i'm affraid to plug this thing into my HHR SS. Can this thing do any damage?

Don't do it!!

A decade of forum experience with Members trying this chip and that chip has proven that they are at best a waste of money, at worst, you'll be at your dealer getting your HHR reflashed back to an "un-screwed up" state.
