Odd Sound After Turning Off SS

About 6 to 7 seconds after turning off my SS I hear an odd sound of something dropping in the engine. It sounds like a plastic float. Happens every single time.

Any ideas of what that is?

Normal. But I can't remember what it is. Someone will chime in with the answer.

Could it be the blend door in the dash flopping closed once the vacuum bleeds off?

Normal....sounds like a metal ball dropping....probably a valve or maybe a check valve

To me it sounds like a clicking coming from the motor. Maybe it has something to do with the high pressure fuel pump/direct injection?

That noise is a different one than the OP is asking about. His noise is the single, light thump,or bump. It is an SS only noise. Turbo related. I think something vaccumm related. BOV maybe?

It's the TB closing after the power gets cut to it. The reason behind that is to keep the carbon build up off the blade.
