Got some good news maybe

Brian Brown said "We have pushed order dates out in case we run into an issue. if all goes well we will start up production in early December."

Lets hope the test goes good on Dec 2 I will check with Brian to see how the test went.

I'm a diehard and will hang in until the fat lady sings. This will be a cool ride if they will build it. I have been driving a PT GT since 04. Makes ponies in the straights and it is fun but is anemic in the curves as well as dangerous in stability control/recovery. I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.

It is the Panel that is the only reason I am buying a car.

the fat lady sings on january 26th for me. if GM can't figure out how to build our cars after 7 months, they will never figure it out. i will not compromise my order because that is the only HHR style i like.

if they do build our cars, the three of us will have the rarest of the rare HHRs out there. we can each say, "it's one of only three built."

I hope the fat b---- keeps her mouth shut. Like all of this group, this is the configuration I want or nothing but I will wait it out and make GM say they cannot fulfill their commitment.

i think tomorrow is the big test the four of us have beed waiting for. if they figure out how to make that digital gauge pod work with the 5-speed, we should get our builds next week.

if tomorrow fails, the earliest build week will be jan 26th and maybe never. fingers crossed....

I agree it will certainly be a unique vehicle and applaud you guys for hanging in, but I'd assume there might be others waiting for this who aren't a member of this site and still others who will order the option next year and prior to the release of the next model year (i.e. more than three being built)?

When I saw the email from the dealership, there was an excel attachment that appeared to have the affected orders. The number of orders, was pretty small. No idea how many stayed the course, so it will be interesting to see how many are produced for '09. Wonder if Hyper can work his voodoo after the model year.

(Fingers crossed)
