Want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

I would like to thank all for the support in this induring proccess; with out this forum I think I would have cancelled my order. Posting here and reading post reafirms my goal to own a 2009 panel ss. I have been reassured that GM will build my car even if they did not get the bail out.

Merry Christmas
Patrick

Unhappy I Canceled My Order

Hi Guy's , Sad to say but I canceled out my 09 SS AA5 in November 2008. I was not waiting any Longer for GM to let me know when I could spend my money. It's kinda funny that I went to www.carmax.com and found 3 Brand New 2009 HHR SS's for sale Including one panel SS...... It was also VERY VERY sad to see the POOR Re-Sale value on the used HHR SS's they had there

Take Care Guy's, and Good Luck to all who waited so long...........

All prices are down on any used vehicle and also you left out that the SS mentioned had 27K miles as that makes a big fifferance. That is near twice what an average year old car will have. Too many low milage ones out there for them to get top dollar even in these times.

Hyperv6,
They Had 4 used SS's There last week, 16,600 for the SBO with 27k on the clock is a $9,500 hit in one year's time. Last week they had a red one with 12k on it for $18.200, that's $7,500 hit in one year, YIKES.... I expected the re-sale to hold on a lil tighter on the SS, But I Apparently I'm Wrong. I still Love the SS, But I think I'll just wait and Steal one (and save about 8k-10k) from someones trade in. 27,000 miles is not a lot of miles anymore.....

Closing the book

That's right I have canceled my order. I emailed Brian Brown to ask if the week of January 26th was still good 2 days past no reply emailed again he replied that the plant was closed until mid February. How do you like that... well they don't have to pay wages when the shut down a mexico plant...
who cares about customer commitments... This is just why they are in the pits so maybe I was spared a lemon??? I will never know.. Thanks to all it has been quite a ride... even without the ride.

Things aren't looking so hot with my order either. I'm at the eight week point now and my saleman still can't give me a scheduled build date and related to me this morning that it appears the factory is indeed staying shut "a little longer" than the normal holiday closure this year. He's going to check with his inventory manager on Monday to see if they can get some better information for me. Both the dealer and I can't find any SS models on the ground that meet my requirements so unless something starts happening in the next month or so, I may have to start looking for some alternatives to the HHR....bummer.
