Well folks, count me out, I took another trail. I bought a 09 Rubicon Unlimited. It wasn't frustration with the HHR delema however. My nephew has one he let me play with and that's alls I cans stands - down to the Jeep dealer I went.

I have never owned a Jeep but so far, it is a lot of fun. I like to do my own work when possible and like my Harley (FLHRSEC3), there are many ways to personalize it.

congrats on the new jeep. with EP pricing plus $1000 or more cash back plus 0% plus lifetime warranty, how can you not buy it.

it's sad that GM wouldn't sell us the HHR's we ordered. just look at all of the sales they lost just on this tiny little thread. imagine how many other sales were lost by their poor business practices?

how many here got an SS panel? i can only think of two.

The dealer has made a offer for me to hold out until the 16th of March, thats the newest build date and its held to this point, dealer told me there is alot of people waiting for the 5sp and all problems have been addressed at this time, we'll see.

If they do build them now I'll have the pick of two since aquaman's was identical to my build, so yes at this time I'm still waiting on my panel

 

Hey Roaddawg831 and RFT, have you recieved a 3800 code as yet since both of you had a 2-23 build date?

2009 SS, 5sp, RPD,Performance package,total sound upgrade and sunroof.
Build date 3-16 maybe

 

i went to my dealer saturday and checked up on the order i had for the SS panel. they told me they would let the order run when i canceled it in january. this dealer has had a 100% turn around in employees since i ordered the car. the new general manager there editted my order "so he could sell it"

i asked what did he do? he said he added windows so they could sell it. boy, i'm thinking big mistake because they already have one like that sitting there since october. oh well...

 

Wow I guess if a few more people cancel there orders and they do come thru on the
16th I could have a really rare model LOL

 

Ya, I pinged my salesman yesterday but he says the system is shut down on weekends so he'll get back to me first thing on Monday AM.

 

The latest news is my order is now in status "3400" which according to the list is "Broadcast". Since I last talked to the salesman, the TPW was rescheduled from 2/23 to 3/2 and the Estimated Delivery Date from 3/26 to 4/2. Again, mine is not a panel and I didn't get the RPD.

I hope I'm wrong, but I've got to believe your SS and mine will come down the line at the same time and at this time that's the week of the 16th unless something has changed

Maybe so Byron...I'm just hoping they come down the assembly line period. Would be great to close my deal prior to April 1 as we are facing a 1% sales tax increase down here on that day.
