Passed an LT with SS badges on it

Yes, it's true. This morning on the way to work, I passed a black LT with an SS badge on the on the back hatch, and ones on the front doors too. Other than that, it was pretty much stock. They were the old style font also. Gave me a chuckle anyway.

I have seen this done before. Bet they feel stupid when a real ss pulls up next to them.

It isn't like other people are going to look at the SS and say 'wow, an SS'. No one notices my real SS until I get on it. When I was doing pulls on the freeway for tuning, occasionally I would see someone roll with me for a few miles trying to figure out what I am. These guys with the fake SS are only getting our attention. It is good for a laugh.

Isn't that how GM made them, pull the leather and seat heat, stick the SS on the side???

Just wait, in 25 years those will be passed off as "SS Clones". Wanna get my blood boiling, come up to me at a show and use those five magic words...."Is that a real SS?".

At that point I just let my wife answer the question while I go off somewhere and turn the air blue with a stream of obscenities that would make a longshoreman blush.

There ought to be a law.

Not too long ago I got up next to a LT that had SS badges (not even close to the correct placement) and a big V6 badge on the back. I had a good laugh pulling up next to him at a red light.

You should have rolled down your window to see if it was a 3.1 or one of the new 3.6's.
