Pedals have arrived

from Sullivan Racing Products...

these...

with the block finish...

They look well made and include all necessary hardware (these are not "show" pedals that clip on... they require real mounting via 3 drilled holes in each pedal with bolt and lock nut for brake and clutch, and screws for gas pedal. ~ $118.xx landed.

I'll take pics if I ever find the digicam after our still-painful relo---> kill me now.

I assume these mount to the stock rubber pedal covers? Keep us updated on the install.

The stock rubber comes off, and these bolt directly to the steel underneath. I installed them last night. Took about 30 minutes including trying to find an extension cord because my Makita is still missing from the move (hopefully in a box somewhere, and not lifted by the packers as I wasn't there for that end of the move). Included instructions say to drill a 1/16" pilot hole, then expand with 3/16" bit. I did clutch like this, then did the brake with just the 3/16", as I didn't see any benefit to the pilot hole. Once I got one hole drilled, I used the included hardware to hunker the pedal down to the steel... then drilled the other 2 mounting holes. Rinse and repeat for brake. For the accelerator, the mounting hardware is a screw instead of the bolt and lock nut for the other 2 pedals.

Cousin of Mister Anal® would have preferred matching hardware for all the pedals (bolts are Allen head, screws are Phillips head). Otherwise, the product is well made, the pre-sale email exchanges were quick and friendly. Shipping was slow, but that's stoopid UPS again taking 13 days to get a package to me. I'd have had them in hand for 2-3 days with USPS $4.80 Priority Mail... but instead waited waaaaaay too long for my $8.95 UPS delivery.

I drove to work this morning and could feel a nice grip on the pedals, and the extension on the side of the gas pedal makes heel-toe action easier. I couldn't find the real digicam, but took a pic with my phone... I'll post it as soon as I get a chance.

Going to go back and get the footrest piece as well. It's for the auto, but I believe it will fit on the footrest area we have on the manual. Sullivan is also going to send me some 1" long bolts so I can swap out the mismatched screw heads on the gas pedal (see post #6 comments above).
