No such thing as a chip! You need a "tune".

If you pay someone for a "chip" you will be ripped-off.

 

don't buy a chip, buy a "tune". type TUNE in search box, read up on trifecta , ZZP tunes.

There are several tunes, see which one you prefer. Some good , some have more HP and torque and some are made by GM. Take your choice.

 

I'm guessing that the OP may be a bit in the dark as to what a "tune" is. He's just joined the forum & doesn't even have his SS Yet! (as of 5/16). so we have a guy new to the forum & new to the SS. May need a little extra help in how to search the forum & what a "tune" actually is. So simplifed, basically, a computer runs the engine. The Manuf. sets the computer program on the "safe" side (i.e. not the max H.P. the engine can produce) Aftermarket Tune (trifecta , ZZP) replaces the stock tune for more H.P. Think the steps are (for a basic "canned" tune) is you buy the software program from the tuner. Need a laptop & a special cable to hook up to the car's computer system (get cable from same tuner you got program from). follow instructions to load new "tune".
again simplified version, may be other steps that i'm not aware of, sure guy's that have done a tune or a tuner on here will correct me, that's what we're here for!
