Powder coat vs Painted Rims

Looking into doing something to the OEM rims. Just out of curiosity any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Also for anyone in Mid-MI, if you have anywhere you could recommend that would be helpful.

if they are done right both stand up pretty good. it took throwing a hammer at my painted wheel to chip them.

bad temper + hammer + car that wasn't meant to have air suspension = damaged paint

A painter will tell you paint is better and a powdercoater will tell you powdercoat is better. paint is cheaper if you want a crazy color.
