If you are burning fuel that you have to baby the performance you are burning the wrong fuel.

Thanks for all the input.

Looks like I'm sticking with 93 octane for now. It's 4.50/gallon, and I'm getting 26 mpg. I can live with that.

Argumentative and already established. The OP was trying to save money. Around here, the difference is 60-70 cents per gallon. Now he knows more about his choices.
