But I agree that the SS aerodynamics might be only slightly better than a Fiero and mine is no fun over about 120. hell, my 86 TR was no fun over 100!
Not heard any issues on I for upshift on any GM cars accept for the manual V8 cars That lock out 2nd gear for MPG.

Sad to think this high profile vehicle may be as aero as my Fiero. Times have changed.

I know my Fiero with the standard nose before the air dam and vented hood was bad at 90 MPH and nearing 120 really bad. Now it is good with the additions. It was amazing the lift the standard nose makes.

At Indy on the speed way it was very stable at 120 MPH.

Never really did a all out speed run in the SS. I am more of a point and shoot kind of guy now. I have had enough high speed runs in the past. I am old enough to know what could happen now. Having a kid makes me think more. I always said I would never grow up but I guess you can't fight it.

Well I did not have it in I.. So that might have been it. It makes more sense that if its not rated for more than 80 in top gear than in I it should perform. That was actually the answer I was looking for. Thanks for all the input.

My Auto SS has been over 110 and pulling strong more then once. It is no where near out of room at 110.

Yeah, Mine did, we have last 3 vehicles through them and my parents last 3. We left out truck and I handed him my keys. Plus got lucky there wasnt hardly any traffic, Glad the Ss didnt take long to hit that, shut her down then came back off ramp where I got .46 according to lateral g. I then really fell in love with it!

you will notice that on streets not new and smooth, the road noise is a little much. But thats what the stereo is for, a compensator.
