does anyone know if the stock 18's on the ss are cleared or just polished?
wouldn't mind knowing before i go dig them out and find out they are.

that really sucks.
i'd rather have the extra work and keep them like jewelery.

You can use a non abrasive polish on the clear to keep them as good as new. Then wax them after they are polished.

it's pretty light. i'll def put the good stuff away.
i was thinking of polishing the inner rim too.
i hate the way they leave it dull.

It's just the polished outer face that's cleared. I soak down the inside with wheel cleaner then follow it with a wipe of brake cleaner applied to a towel to deal with the heavy duty residue. I was thinking of putting more of a finish onto the inside as well since it's so visible thru the spokes.

Treat the wheel like paint. Polish it with the same polish you would use on the paint then wax it inside and out to protect it.

Aluminum polish in most cases will be too abrasive unless it is approved for clear costed wheels.

The clear coat on the wheels is very much like the clear on you paint. It is a little tougher but still similar in how it works and in care.
