RPM Motorsports in AZ
Hi,
I'm new to the forum and have searched for any information related to performance items from RPM Motorsports in AZ, but didn't see anything. I getting ready to rebuild and upgrade my stock turbo and am looking at options. Martin at RPM has been very informative, but I've not heard much about them. They seem to take a more hands-on approach. Currently, the only mods are 3bar Map Sensors, K&N drop-in air filter, and a Trifecta tune for those items. My turbo is getting a little tired (92,000 miles & slight smoke upon initial start for the day) and I was looking at their stock turbo rebuild with an upgraded/larger wheel. I was advised I could try keeping my Trifecta tune, but it was recommended to have one there tune's written specifically based on data logs sent to them. I was told they do several real-time data logs, each time making adjustments/updates until everything was fully the way it should be. It all sounds great, but I was just wondering if anyone has used any of the RPM Motorsports products?
Thanks for any assistance

Welcome to the site. I've not heard of them but that doesn't mean anything really. Which tuning software are they using? I'm not sure Trifecta is still servicing the LNF series or not. Myself and a few other as using HPTuners. What year is it?

Thanks, I'm not sure what software they are using, some of the HHR SS tunes are listed only as theirs; however, they also have HPTuners, and their Stage 2 tune is packaged with HPTuners hardware.
Also, Trifecta seems to still be servicing the LNF, unless they changed at the 1st of this year, because I purchased one of their tunes in late November 2016. It worked great and I was pleased with it, but I'm sure everyone knows how you act when you get that 1st tune, hammer down. I assume it was too much for the turbo due to the age/year model (2009) and 92,000 mileage of the unit. The turbo now howls and screeches, along with a puff of smoke at start-up. It's a shame because I only got to put about 500 miles on it since purchased. It's now just sitting until I decide which way to go with the turbo repair.
