Silver HHR SS half panel in tampa
Does anyone know this truck?
It's a silver HHR SS Half panel. I'm thinking about buying it but i'm trying to find some history on it first. It looks like it might have had some passenger side damage at one time.

It does look familiar, but with approximately 489,780 HHR's built, not every one of them has been seen here.
From the photos, I'm seeing two shades of silver on the passenger side, the doors are a good 1/4 shade out from each other which sends up a red flag.
Time for a CarFox...err...CarFax on it before you go too far, but a caveat to remember, CarFax misses things at times. Especially on vehicles with "Washed Titles", that's when a wrecked vehicle is bought as salvage in State A, repaired and then sold in State F which gives it a new "Clean" title.
All the prior history is lost when the Washed Title is issued, unfortunately the practice isn't illegal...yet.

I ran a auto check on it and it comes back clean. If your thinking the it was a panel with reg doors I don't think so because it doesn't have the popper buttons. I'm really interested in it because it's a AA5 SS. And you don't see many AA5s at all. Are there total numbers for AA5s anywhere?

AA5 HHR SS's were only built in 2009, some GM sources say 216 panels were built but don't specify if that is the full run of the SS 2008 to 2010, or just the 2009 model year.
However in this early thread in post #21 we see the AA5 option was ordered in the SS model 8.5 and only 1.3 percent in the LT , and 4 percent of the LS model .
Based on that a total of 18 SS AA5 HHRs were built
