Before I order the parts, I wanted to get one last verification of what I think I have learned from reading this thread:

1) The TTR upper engine mount will reduce torque steer (of course it will transmit more vibration due to its solid nature). My SS 5-speed has a crazy amount of torque steer when full throttle, especially 2nd gear.

2) The TTR rear sway bar will reduce the stock understeer without inducing touchy oversteer conditions.

Thanks
Steve

Yes and yes.
I've got both of those TTR parts on my SS 5 speed and I'm happy with them. Swaybar, no complaints. Engine mount, yeah the engine vibration can be a little annoying but you'll get used to it. It did eliminate a lot of the torque steer. It also made the shift pattern a little tighter. I'm guessing because the engine/trans is more solidly mounted in the engine cradle.
I would say 2 of the best mods I did on my SS.

Thanks for the confirmation!

It's been a long time since I had a front-wheel-drive car with enough power to create that much torque steer. The limited-slip axle probably makes it worse, preventing wheelspin.

I had torque steer on my 1984 Sunbird Turbo. In that case it was the sudden onset of boost that created the torque steer, it only had 150hp.

Too bad GM didn't use equal-length half-shafts on the SS.

I did install a rear sway bar on my 2006 1LT 2.4L HHR and it changed it from heavy oversteer to fairly neutral handling.

I really only notice the vibration at idle, AC on. No regrets.
