I now have the bracket from TAC. I'll be waiting for the pump and all the fixins from Lansing MI until the end of the week.

Is there a TSB or Recall number for this fix? That would help us when we call the dealer to schedule the repair.

No TSB or Recall yet. They have to call the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and register a case. TAC ships the needed bracket and the other parts are ordered by the dealers parts department. But it starts with the dealer verifying the condition and then calling TAC.

Unless you have a very undrivable condition it might be wise to wait till a TSB or Recall is issued.

Once either is out the dealers will have an eaiser time getting the needed info and parts to get the problem corrected.

I plan to wait to see if and when the TSB is out before I take mine in since I have had the problem happen but it is rare.

Chevy has finally come up with the fix for the brakes. Mine were done about 3 weeks ago and so far so good. It took the mechanic 4 or 5 days to do but mine was the first for the dealer.

Good to hear.

4-5 days another reason I will wait to take mine in.

I am just glad they got you fixed!

ok, what were the parts installed and how did your dealer get the information and ok to do the installation. The Sep and Oct 08 Tech bulletins specially forbid doing any new modifications except re-calibrtion of the computer.
