Thumbs up spoke to Wester's today

called and spoke to the man himself, easy person to talk to....found out some info, he will be continuing work on the 08 tune, there will be a regular and a hot tune for the SS, Solstice & Sky...the tune can be used for the SS, with an auto and of course the 5spd. tune should be done in the near future. if you would like more info, go to the Solstice Forum and under
"Mods for the 2.0" you can check out Wester' Tune, alot of info and there are other threads about the results they are having with the 07 tune.
I still am undecided, but feel it's good to have as much info as we can get from any tuner regarding their products, so we can make an informed decision on which tune to purchase.
Maybe we should see if we can do a Sticky on Tunes and their info....

My experience with Wester's may be outside the norm, but he still owes me $240 for a tune/nightmare experience I had with him a couple of years ago. If you're interested in the details, visit fullsizeshevy.com and search for Westers and posts from me (same username). There was lots of "me bashing" in the thread on that board, but I'm not a pimply-faced teen who just fell out of bed... the facts I present in that thread are accurate and are backed up by hard copies of all shipping, emails, etc.

He won't get a penny from me ever again, regardless of his product offerings... I'll go with Hahn or wait for others to enter the market.

I am sure that everyone along the way has had some unpleasant experience with a vendor in one way or another. The purpose of the thread is to inform us SS owners what may be available now and in the future for anyone interested in a tune. And I understand that you will not buy from him again, I had a problem with RPM outlet a few years ago and feel the same way.
So we put the good and not so good info here for everyone to make their own decisions, and that is how it should be, to post everything we can find out, whether it's good or not so good.

Absolutely. From your post, I get the impression that you don't feel my post above does this (??)

no not at all, sometimes when you start a thread about a vendor and you talk about their product(s), people may feel that you are in support of that vendor. I was just trying to make the point of posting everything that we know, as well as the good and not so good experiences with that vendor, which we are doing here, and your post and the info here does just that

Sorry to say but your story is to serve one purpose and one purpose only, to express your dissatisfaction with a company you had a bad experience with. I read all your stuff and both sides are at fault.

Bottom line is you said your piece trying to hurt the companies sales now let it go. Seems your experience is very out of ordinary, thanks for sharing.

(No, I will not respond to your expected rebuttal so fire away)

Excellent. Thanks for the clarification. I very much like the "informed consumer" approach to things that these kinds of fora can provide... lots of people toss in lots of info (and opinions), and _I_ decide what _I_ want to do with that info for me.

As for Hahn Racecraft, I too have dealt with them... though it was MANY years ago, and it was on a turbo bike I was building (back when NOBODY had bolt-on anything for turbo bikes). I don't remember the names very well... maybe Jerry Hahn Sr., owned one business and his son owned another, and so "Hahn" was a confusing name in the turbo world. However, they do know their stuff, and so assuming they've smoothed out the product development process, I would anticipate anything they offer will be well-engineered. I browsed their site the other day and they indicated that they were also working on hard pipes, BOVs, etc., for the HHR as well. Those added parts would be nice as the plastic pipes tend to bloat when pressurized (which adds to lag), and they're almost always bent/kinked to accommodate some other "factory" need, which isn't so great for laminar air flow. I look forward to see what they have offer. I "got on" my HHR yesterday, coming home from work, and was a little disappointed in the midrange roll-on... an extra 80-100hp would have been nice
