Jeff, I feel your pain man. Was it a screw from a trucks wheel that flew at ya'. I hate the spring, too much crap on the roads after the snowy winters and guys/gals hauling junk to the dumps with porous trailers. Oh ya', don't forget the roofers hauling old shingles and "NAILS" in their trailers Cracked windshields and flat tires.

I don't know, I heard it, but I was about 100 yards behind a compact car. Maybe some clown in the woods with a 22.

All Better Now

In one of those rare cosmic alignments of insane serendipity, I have a $0 deductible on auto glass.

Strange, my windshield seems 'bigger' now somehow.

Well chalk one up for mine, and I wasn't driving it.

It was in for service, wash guy was backing it out of the bay with the door open slightly. Caught the door on the wall pushed it back into the body.

Needless to say it needs a new door skin and front fender, dealerships gonna pay for it (as well as repaint of the front bumper from a truck tire and a large mark on the back when my friend backed into it),

Also reapplying the 3M bumper guard, so even though im ticked it will look like new. The fender could have been fixed but there covering a replacement so there isnt any bondo/bending.

All told $2800 Canadian damage

and im back in my 90hp Jetta for a week...

Count it as a lucky strike that you got the previous damage fixed. I've had a few of those in my last two cars. Evens out the karma.

this is strange I have one in the same place and didnt notice it until I waxed my car, now it seems like it sticks out like a sore thumb. someone must have leaned or maybe sat on it at the dealer or maybe before.
