Looks like the replacement doesn't have the bluish "tint" strip across the top is missing! LOL

Strange, my windshield seems 'bigger' now somehow.

And here I just thought it was because it was clean (for once).

A few months on, and it is smaller again.

Owned my car 3 months, thank God all I have so far is a chip on my windshield and a few tiny dents on my rear bumper.. (Most likely from someone bumping me while trying to parallel park)

yep, that's me. A guy wailed me head on last wed. Came towards me completely out of control all over the road for about 300 yards or so. How he stayed on the road so long is baffling. Not sure if dui, it didn't say so on the police report. I guess there's the remote possibility that he is the worst driver on planet earth. Claims to have swerved to avoid a deer. I guess it was running back and forth in front of him the whole way.

both my passenger and myself are ok, just a little sore, but luckily nothing serious. I'm waiting on the final word-pretty sure its a total.

In addition to the bazillion little nicks and scrapes I've accumulated already, walked out to this one yesterday...appears that they didn't even open the door, just reached in and yanked on my iPod that (I thought) was hidden between the console and passenger seat. Didn't take the Aux cord or the charger - in fact, broke the end off the charger they pulled the iPod so hard. It was an old 30 gb from the first gen with video so probably at least four years old and fading in terms of reliability so it's not a huge loss. They did however ignore the window suction cups and the Escort power cord which should've clued them in that there was a radar detector - $500 Passport - stashed in my center console. Good thing I pay the extra $35/month to park under a lit carport so stuff like this doesn't happen huh..

$280 for repairs is awesome when you haven't had a job in two months.

this thread is a major jinx I swear. The first time I read it the next day I found 2 dents on my front bumper on the passenger side. Absolutely no idea how they got there. Then about a week and a half later I was hit by an old guy in a big dodge ram who decided he wanted to drive at me in my lane. I swerved just enough to avoid a head on collision. Here is the carnage.

I always wished I had bought an HHS rather than an LT2. This thread is just heartbreaking. However, if it were to have a silver lining it is that I am taking my brother to the US's largest junkyard, Harry's-U-Pull It in Hazelton tomorrow to get a bumper for his Cavalier and a dash trim piece for my wife's Cavalier. There should be some SS's to pull a front and rear bumper, grille, rocker panels, wheels and 2-tone seats from.
Would also like to check and see it I can make an SS air intake box work on mine. Happy hunting to me!
