I agree it has to be the weeniest horn on the planet.
There are a couple of threads on more appropriate horns, just do a search. I have not done mine yet, but it is one the top things on my still to do list.

SS Horn

I was surprised that a horn upgrade wasn't done when doing all the other upgrades from the 2LT to the SS. It's a cheap fix. Here's a link to the most recent thread, which in turn links to older ones: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/general-hhr-4/horn-upgrade-30130/

My comment on that previous thread:

This has been discussed before. The consensus solution seems to be Fiamm El Grande twin horns, purchased from amazon.com. I bought mine at the same time as the special oil filter socket to make $25 for free shipping. I had a dealer install it along with my other aftermarket parts. The horn sounds MUCH better now! All HHRs seem to use the same, sickly, single horn. I don't remember seeing anything that even the SS, with all its improvements, has a better horn. I consider having a horn that gets the attention of the other driver to be a safety issue, and highly recommend this modification. There are pics of the Fiamm horn installed linked from this horn thread: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...nde#post452117

I think I've used my horn 3-4 times in the last 2 years, and usually just to say hi as I drive past a friend's house.

I use my Whelen Power Airhorn and a 100 watt speaker. I have moved it from car to car since I bought it. It gets peoples attention!
