SS Wheels
Cleaning my stock SS wheels today.. noticed the following engraved on the inside: "SuperAlloy, SAI, 18x7.5-42, DOT-T, J Type-A, 86859, 03-31-08, TAIWAN, GM, 9597382"
Did not know the wheels were from Taiwan--but I'm not "that" surprised! I do really like them...
Just thought I'd share...

I noticed that on mine too when I took them off to paint the rotor hub and fins with silver VHT paint.
A good tool I found for cleaning the interior of the wheels was this power brush that you attach to a battery operated drill.Just dip it in your car wash sudz and it will do the back rims completely and with the front you have to move the car to get the spot you missed between the caliper.It also does a good job on your fender liners.
But don't.I repeat don't use it on the polished outside of the wheels,it will put swirls in the finish.It must have like an endura shine like like my intake on my 62.

I can't believe how fast you've joined us HHR guardians in how obsessive we are about keeping it clean, shiny and car-show ready!
And how much you (like a lot of us), will look for any excuse to go for a drive! My sister gave up asking to borrow Blackie and my BIL won't now that it has pink pinstripes!
Loved seeing your baby last weekend! Hope you and Lisa have a great Christmas--although it looks like we SoCal folks will have a wet one...ah well!

I don't like them either, I plan on having them powder coated black or maybe blue

That's right Angie--almost any excuse to drive or clean it!! Merry Christmas!! (I'm thinking of putting together a "cruise" sometime in Jan--show off the back-roads of North County--more later)....

Well you could get the battery powered drill that's in the picture at Harbor Freight but the Power Brush by Grip It,the cheapest place is Auto Barn at $17.95 plus shipping.
