Brake Probs

OH Man!

I thought I was the only one! I think My Production # is 964 built January of '08. I am eperiencing the same thing. I don't know if it is due to a little air in the lines or just a faulty start-up program. When the car is cold in the morning I have a dead pedal for about 30 sec, but this only happens some of the time. I have trained my-self to wait a little while before starting out, and this has remedied the problem, and for some reason my wife has never had it happen to her.

I was taught to:
1. crank car
2. put on seat beat
3.wait a sec and let oil start flowing and engine idle down before taking off.
Doing this uses a little gas but does the engine good.
4.On auto trans. make sure to be at a complete stop b4 switching from rev. to drive.

These are things my father insisted you learned or you wouldnt drive. So everyone slow down and let the car warm up. Do your engine and brakes a favor and they will return the favor.
Happy HHRing everyone.

Angry

They should just make this a recall. I went to pull out of my driveway because I was running late and almost hit a parked car across the street from me. So now I use the remote start to let it warm up and no more problem.

Bring it to your dealer and they will correct it under warranty. There is no reason to be on the road without brakes.
