Staying home!!!
almost got rid of my ss for a genesis coupe, but chose to against it. the genesis coupe looks really good, but it can't touch my ss when it comes to horse power.could it equal it or top it??? sure for almost 10k!!!! the 3.8 v6 is what i wanted with a 6 speed manual. it comes with 306hp,so about 270 to the ground. to get close or right at 300hp,you can do the full exhaust, but it's gonna cost BIG!!! headers will run you close $1100,the exhaust is $1300 and there is a test pipe/cat delete for $430 not worth it. you can get the ecu flashed for about 650,but that raises your redline and takes out your speed gov. and give it maybe 15-20hp. almost $3500 on just exhaust and flash to be 300-320hp??? then the fact i would be starting over with a car payment. i have about 2 years left on ss with 42k on the dash. got her new in 08.
the turbo version is much cheaper, but you will spend about 5-8k getting it to 325-380 hp. didn't spend nearly that much to get the 342 on my stock turbo.

I like the Genesis but like you don't want another car payment at this time. I should be paying off the SS later this year and then will only have my insurance and cell phone to pay for. Can't wait

looks good, but like the genesis, not enough hp. i know all new cars take awhile with aftermarket goodies. 3 years later and we can now buy turbo kits for our cars(and still no cai ). if they could start out with 270hp in a turbo application with this car,i would be all over it. despite on what others say,gm seemed to have gotten it right.
