Stock Wheels

Can the Stock Wheels be polished with Mothers Gold or Meguiars Metal Polish or is there a coating on the wheels that prevents that??

GM uses a clearcoat on the polished alloy rims, very similar to the exterior paint on the body. You can't use a metal "polish" because most polishes contain abrasives. Use the same stuff on the wheels that you would use on the clearcoat paint. Meguiars makes several good "clearcoat" products.

All the wheels (painted, machined, & polished) have a clear coat on them Wash normally and a regular coat of wax is all that is needed.

Not sure on the 16" chrome wheels.
