tire recommendations

OE pilots were shot in 20k and now the Goodyear GTs gone in 36k so improved but time for another set. what are the thoughts. I run snowies 6 months of the year so I need a good 3 season tire. I live in northern michigan. thanks for any input.

General Gmax AS-03. I'm from MI too, down near Flint. Just put these on my SS last week. Haven't had a chance to test them out in the white stuff yet (your running snow tires anyway, so this really doesn't matter to you). I went slightly larger than stock at 235/45/18. Ride quality and traction is awesome. They are quiet tires. I tried to make them hydroplane this morning in the heavy rain on my way to work and couldn't get them to. No complaints from me.

Love them on my Avenger - sticky to the nth degree in the dry - great in the wet, and did good in snow as well (we don't get that much here, but they worked great). I'll buy them again for sure.

I have been very happy with my OEM Michelins. However, since I run Blizzaks in the winter, I am considering summer-only tires for my OEM 18" wheels. I've heard good things about the Cooper Zeon RS3-A (all-season) and RS3-S (summer only). Would members share their experiences with these tires?

the price on the Gmax are nice. I had a set of Geolanders on a Tahoe and I got over 90k on those bad boys and they always amazed me at how sticky they were. I finally replaced when they started to crack, but after 7 or so years. Thanks for the input

put yokohama yk580 from discount tire on mine for a couple of reasons
1 - decent price
2 - great wear/tread warranty (45k i believe) for a AS/P tire
3 - wall strength, Michelin i think was 92, these are 95 so pretty stiff
4 - good traction in dry, decent wet and winter (better than I thought for winter!)
it is my daily so dont want to put expensive UHP tires on! seen a lot of peeps running the G-Max tire on this forum though so it must be good

I did hours upon hours of research to find the best performing, highest rated all-season tire for our cars. My Research kept pointing me to the continental DWS. I got them before winter and they performed as expected in the snow with more control than the stock michelins. On dry pavement they are amazing and hook very very well. And I can't notice any additional road noise either. Very happy with my tire purchase.

I'll second that. I replaced my OE Michelins when they had 35,xxx miles on them with the Conti's ContactPro DWS. LOVE them. Grippy even in the torrential down pours we are having currently and did well in the remaining snow of the second half of winter in Iowa. They look good as well.
